Deal Me In

Privacy policy

Draft Not yet reviewed by a lawyer. It will change before launch.

This explains what Deal Me In collects, why, and what you can do about it. Deal Me In is run by 3prong Media, LLC (“we”). The short version: we keep what’s needed to run your account and the daily puzzle, we show other players only your username, display name and scores, and we don’t sell your data or show ads.

What we collect

  • Account: your email address, your password (stored scrambled; we can’t read it), username, display name, time zone, and when you confirmed you’re 21 or older and agreed to the terms.
  • Settings: theme and card colors.
  • Play: each hand you play (ranked and practice), every decision, your scores, and when you played.
  • Technical: when you sign in or load a page, our providers record your IP address, browser and device type, and the time. This is for security and keeping the service running.

What other players see

Your username, display name, scores, ranks and streaks on leaderboards and stats. Everyone’s choices are counted in anonymous totals (for example, “62% of players called”). Your email address is never shown.

How we use it

  • To run your account, score your hands, and show your stats, streaks and leaderboards.
  • To send account emails you ask for, such as confirming your email or resetting your password.
  • To keep Deal Me In secure and fair, and to fix problems.

We don’t sell or rent your data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t use advertising or analytics trackers.

Cookies and tracking

Deal Me In uses one kind of cookie: the one that keeps you signed in. Your phone also stores a few settings locally (theme, card colors, and whether you’ve dismissed the install tip). There are no third-party cookies.

We don’t track you across other websites or apps. Because of that, your browser’s “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control setting doesn’t change anything here: there’s no tracking to turn off.

Who helps us run it

  • Supabase hosts the database and sign-in, and sends account emails (servers in the United States).
  • Vercel hosts the website.

They process data for us under their own terms and only to provide their service. Your data is stored and processed in the United States, wherever you use Deal Me In from.

Security

Connections to Deal Me In are encrypted, passwords are stored scrambled, and each player can reach only their own data. No service is perfectly secure, though. If a breach affects your data, we’ll tell you as the law requires.

How long we keep it

While your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, hands and scores straight away. Copies in our providers’ backups and logs are removed on their normal schedule.

Your choices

  • Change your display name, time zone and settings in the Me tab.
  • Download everything we hold about your play: Me → Your data → Download my data.
  • Delete your account and data: Me → Your data → Delete account.
  • Anything else, such as correcting your email: write to support@dealmeinapp.com. We reply within 30 days.

Age

Deal Me In is for people 21 and over, and isn’t meant for children. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, or you tell us, we delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app first. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
